"As if the blind rage had washed me clean, rid me of hope; for the first time, in that night alive with signs and stars, I opened myself to the gentle indifference of the world."

"My issue isn’t with capitalism (which is meant to be survival of the fittest: the best buy the worst groups, or the worst simply fail - and then we will eventually have one single business. I never get why people are so surprised that only a few companies own everything. That’s CAPITALISM! How simple does this need to be?). My issue is with mindless consumers sucking up product like zombies eating brains, lost in consumption, no longer human or connected to anything but touch points that make them reach for their wallets. The sheer vacuousness and simplicity of most people scares the shit out of me. Like marketing agencies knowing they can simply put a product on display at the end of the aisle and people will buy it. Or using the words “french” “Boutique” and “artisan” means your old fugly chair will sell for thousands. It scares me to death. I am watching these people unfurl themselves to the horizon of civilization and cower in the respect that they are the future."
