It’s just that we want what *is* discussed to be scientific so we don’t confuse little kids, and just because reality needs to make a modicum of sense (in large, it still does not). No offense, but the ID / creationist theories aren’t being relegated to the back, or controlled, supressed in any way…. there simply isn’t any room for archaic ideas in this modern world; especially the more man unlocks the secrets to the universe with our rigorous tools. Mysticism and Spirituality will always have a place in human culture (for some)… but as we collectively literally and culturally evolve, & further hone our relationship to the scientific method and our ability to interpet reality in testable ways, irrational beliefs that cause hate or misinformation won’t be viable. They will simply be obsolete."
